A year ago,
As I was leaving for India, not knowing with certainty when or if I’ll be back - it was this exact moment, looking outside the window at the NYC skyline, where I questioned myself - Am I making a mistake? Remember when you first arrived, how happy and excited you were. America is still that. You have built a life here. Are you ready to leave all of that behind?
A year later, in hindsight, I am convinced I made the right call. You can't heal in the same environment where you got sick.
I know now that the most important thing is to prioritize listening to your faint inner voice and what it is asking of you.
To question - what is it that you 'really' want? What is it that you have always wanted? Are you on the path to being that person? Or
Is it all on the surface? Is your definition of life now skewed by what people think? Is your mind free?
I haven’t figured out everything yet but my only lesson is to keep asking myself these questions. Keep me in check. Every day.
